Every recurring pack has the same secret: it is not written, it is assembled, and assembly is what machines are for. The steps above turn a monthly ordeal into a review; the notes below are the craft.
| The build at a glance | |
|---|---|
| Best first candidate when | A recurring pack eats days each cycle |
| Human gate | One reviewer approves the assembled pack |
| Never through a model | The tables: they fill deterministically |
| Measured by | Assembly days becoming a review hour |
| Typical shape | Fixed-price Kick-starter |
The inventory is the project. Firms consistently underestimate step one and then discover the pack’s forty numbers come from eleven places, two of which are someone’s memory. Writing the map is most of the work and all of the insight. Determinism where possible, drafting where valuable: tables never pass through a language model, they fill from staging; prose is drafted and clearly editable. This split is what keeps packs trustworthy, per the same discipline as the reconciliation pattern. Exception flags convert reading into reviewing, and they are where senior time returns: the pack says what moved; the human says what it means.
Where I fit in
This playbook is a standard Kick-starter shape: scoped and priced in writing, built on the tools you already pay for where possible, shipped with the drafts-first trial period and the measurement included. If it is the process your team sighs about, bring it to a call and you will leave with the honest version of effort, cost and payback.
